Become An Organizer

Tango offerings in Missoula have grown to include many different types of one-time-only and repeated events that reflect the preferences and personalities of different dancers. From Tomas Howlin, Luciana Valle, Daniela Roig & Hernan Prieto, Lya Elcagu, and Villarreal Crom to the Missoula Tango Festival, Missoula has welcomed many different tango professionals. These events have occurred because individuals in our community have volunteered to become tango event organizers.

As a tango event organizer, you can help bring new classes, milongas, weekend workshops, or other types of creative tango events to Missoula. Tango Missoula is here to support you!

To make tango organizing easier and more attractive to individual dancers, Tango Missoula often co-sponsors events with individual dancers. Co-sponsoring an event lessens the organizational burden. For events it co-sponsors, Tango Missoula can:

• Assist with planning and budgeting.
• Host event information on our website including online registration.
• Manage finances including advance online payments and payments at-the-door via cash, Venmo, or credit card.
• Negotiate venue contracts.
• Offer event insurance, which is often required by venues.
• Assist in recruiting volunteers.
• Lend Tango Missoula-owned equipment, such as our sound system.
